First time for either: Which do you prefer and why? 5 adults, 3 kids. thanks --- not using any mealplans.

France for the food, it's the best food choice of the three.
Rose & Crown if you can get Illuminations seating, but don't expect much out of the food. The drinks are pretty good though.
Have not had China.

I think I would choose France for lunch. I think the food and service alone makes it worthwhile but as an added bonus you might get to see Remy:goodvibes

We have not eaten in France. I enjoy the R&Crown every time we go. The food I've eaten has been quite good, and, of course, there's the beer! I'm a big fan of the bangers and mash. The TS restaurant in China, however, is no better and maybe not as good as those we have here in southwestern Indiana. We will not go back there. JMHO.

The China restaurant is one of few I have not tried. I've eaten at Chefs and Rose & Crown several times. I prefer Rose & Crown.

If you are considering Bistro de Paris, upstairs in France, it's the best restaurant inside Epcot.

I choose France for us because we don't get to eat at french restaurants often. My kids like meeting the CMS. We have not seen Remy but I am hoping so for our next visit. I have done R&C for Illuminations and we definitely had a good time. I have never done China for two reasons: (1) I have not heard good reviews for it and (2) looks like typical chinese food from any restaurant we have at home. Have a great trip!

We used to think we had to always eat at Le Cellier, until we ate at the Rose & Crown. R&C is our must do, every time. Drinks are great, food is tasty, atmosphere is fun. It's a family favorite.

For lunch I'd give the slight edge to France over R&C, with China being far behind. For dinner I'd give a larger edge to R&C over France (for some reason their service and food at night just isn't as good as lunch) and again would put China last.

Why no love for China? Simply because I can get really good Chinese food in my home town and pay a lot less.

We've eaten at both Chefs and R&C. I thought they were both really good. DH and I enjoyed our meals at both, but DH liked his better at R&C. We were seated outside during Illuminations for R&C so I would definitely say the atmosphere was better there...but that isn't guaranteed.

Like most others have said, I just haven't heard good things about China so we haven't tried it.

We timed our ADR at R&C for Illuminations and didn't find it to be anything to write home about. We were sat almost 40 mins late because they were very busy, and I would assume it's always like this around Illuminations time. We were sat on an upper platform and our view of part of the show was blocked. We were invited to move so we could see better, but we were still eating and did not want to move. R&C is a fine choice, but I wouldn't go out of my way to eat there for Illuminations again.

Nine Dragons is my favorite restaurant in Epcot, but it's often overlooked. The food is amazing, so it would be my #1 choice. Chefs de France is also one of my favorites. :thumbsup2

Have not eaten at Rose & Crown or France... but 9 Dragons was the worst meal we have EVER had at Disney. I'm not sure I'd eat there again if it was free.

I live in a college town, with credible offerings for just about any imaginable pan-asian cuisine. So, I've never had the desire to pay too much for mediocre Chinese in Epcot.

The UK is not known for its fabulous cuisine. On the bright side, Rose & Crown does a good job with what it can work with.

Chefs is really more "bistro", and Bistro is really more of a place that would carry a chef's name. Chefs is good though; think French cafe comfort food, and they nailed the left-bank cafe vibe (except that the drink prices are in dollars, not euros or for the old-timers, francs).
