Never been to wdw on St. Patrick's day, but a relative will be visiting disney during St. Paddy's this year so I'll be in Epcot that day.

Does Rose & Crown have any St. Patrick's day thing going on? I know its more of a British pub, but since its the UK not England, I thought they might do some kind of celebration. btw, we will be in Epcot all day, no chance of going to Raglan Road.

TIA!

I don't recall anything special being done last year at R&C. We'll be there again this year and will NOT try to go to RRoad again, that's for sure! We paid the cover, but couldn't find a seat. The place was packed!

St. Patrick's Day at an English pub? My ancestors are turning in their graves. Perhaps they can beat up some Catholics to mark the day? Just kidding, but on general principle and a horrible history of oppression my people would NEVER celebrate St. Patrick's day in an English pub.

Doesn't stop them celebrating in "English" pubs all over the UK. :rotfl:

(That's speaking as an Irish person who's lived in the UK most of my life so they're "my" people too!)

I know you probably didn't mean it to sound offensive or upsetting - but that's what it comes over as I'm afraid - particularly the bit about "beating up Catholics".

:scared1: you couldn't drag me into a british pub on St Patrick's Day!

Shame - didn't think this forum was like this. Thought it would be full of fun rather than rude comments.

Think I might go somewhere more friendly.

If we could get back to the subject of this thread please:

Has anyone been to Rose & Crown pub on St. Patrick's Day? If so, let me know if anything special goes on. Thanks.
