Rose & Crown lunch: food decision

I'm choosing between two options, and wonder which YOU would recommend. Many thanks!

Option 1: Scotch egg, bubble and squeak (w/gravy), sticky toffee pudding

Option 2: vegetable cottage pie, sticky toffee pudding

I would go with #1, but that is more because I LOVE making meals out of apps or small plates. I feel that if I get one main course and end up not liking it then that's it I'm stuck, but with a few apps if one doesn't do it for you then you still have the other

I'd suggest the vegetable cottage pie, because that way you can come back and post a review! I was wondering what that's like. And if you're going to Rose and Crown for lunch, I'd recommend you try to get a seat on the porch. It's so nice and peaceful out there, watching the boats in the lagoon, the ducks, etc.

My mom has gotten the cottage pie and really enjoyed it. A nice hearty meal with good flavor and seasoned well with nicely flavored potato. When it was first brought to the table I didn't think it would be enough since it doesn't look like a lot but it seemed like a never ending bowl
