Rose & Crown & Illuminations!

I asked here about going to R&C for dinner and staying through Illuminations, and our experience on Sunday was FABULOUS! ADR was for 7:20' we probably were seated around 7:30, and we had seats by the railing with just about a perfect view. The night was clear, low humidity, so not a lot of smoke, truly the best Illuminations experience I've ever had, & I've been on 3 Illuminations cruises!

Dinner was Excellent! Sam was our server. I had the tenderloin & fish, & had plenty of meat left over for a perfect lunch on Monday. The mashed potatoes were divine! We each had tomato soup & shared the berry dish for dessert. DF's steak, not the tenderloin, was a bit tough but tasty, & she said it was better the next day at lunch.

Only negative for me was the Yorkshire pudding, are they kidding?

I want to thank everyone who answered my many questions about doing this. The staff at R & C were very gracious about letting people stay, & it was just GREAT!

I'm happy to hear about your experience and glad that you enjoyed it. We have a 7:40 ressie with hopes of the same. While I've read lots of good reviews about the restaurant, the menu doesn't over excite me and my DD17 and I have honestly debated changing it.

I can't say that there were many thing on the menu that I would have chosen, but the fish on my platter was so good, that if I wanted a less expensive meal, I would definitely chose that as the entree! I had no idea that fried battered fish could be so good!
