We have AR for 8 PM. how do I make sure that we get an outside table so we can watch Illuminations. We will be there on June 22nd. Any help would be great. Thanks

Unfortunately there is no way to "make sure" you get an outside table. You can request one when you check in for your AR, but you can't be guarnteed one. Sorry.

We had PS for 8 at the Rose and Crown on the last trip but could not get an outside seat. People have taken to getting there at 6 or so and just camping out at their table until the fireworks. The CMs told us that they could not force guests to leave.

R&C has a special viewing area that everyone from the bar goes to watch. It was too crowded to get a view and so we left.

Just arrive early and ask nicely when you check in. Remember that everyone there is fighting over the same tables, people will linger for HOURS in order to get those seats, and everyone can't possibly sit out there.

Don't be disappointed if you don't get seated out there, you can just go outside when it starts and enjoy it ;)

We were lucky enough to get seated on the terrace 2 times out of 6 visits to Rose & Crown. Asking nicely appears to help.

I had a 7:10 PS for Rose & Crown on May 18th. I requested a patio table and was lucky enough to get it. However, people who were there when I arrived were still there when Illuminations started at 9:00pm. I guess the waiters know everyone is there for Illuminations, because they serve you very slowly. I didn't even get my dessert until about 8:40pm. I had told the hostess when I checked in, that since I was dining solo that I wouldn't mind sharing a table if someone wanted to. A little later she stopped by after seating someone else, to ask how I was enjoying my dinner and I reminded her I wouldn't mind sharing a table, but she said not to worry about it and to just enjoy my view. There was also another person on the patio dining solo, when I first got there that was still there when Illuminations started. With the slow service, even if I hadn't been waiting for the show I would have had no choice but to still be there at 9:00. I had three empty chairs at my table and told the waitress that if someone wanted to come outside and sit, that I wouldn't mind, but she just laughed and said the same thing the hostess had said which was not to worry about it, but she appreciated it.

Anyway on that night there was no way someone with an 8:00pm PS was going to get a patio table. The entire time I was there I saw only one table get up and leave and that was around 7:30pm.

We've eaten outside twice and it was a nice experience. We did nothing special, it was just dumb luck. I think we made our reservations for 8:00 - a lot later than I like to eat! ;) - and the timing worked well.

Like others have said it just the luck of the draw - in our experience EVERYONE wants that outside table!

We have had dinner at R&C 5 times so far and only twice were we lucky enough to get an outside table. Once right on the rail, wonderful view and once toward the top, not as good as people tried to stand in front of us for Illuminiations.

My advice is to eat at R&C if you enjoy the food and service but if your doing it just for the view of Illuminations you may be dissapionted.

Otherwise try the R&C for lunch and then make sure you get your spot for Illluminations. HTH.

My family just got back and we didn't even have a PS for the night and got an outside table against the rail for a party of 10. We went up to the reservation desk around maybe 7:00-7:15. We were very nice and she said if we didn't mind a wait she could get us a table in about 45 minutes but couldn't guarentee outside.

I had to run back to our room at the BW so I was gone about 20-25 minutes and when I came back my family had been seated already and with a great view.

So we were seated around 7:30-7:45 and saw Illuminations. The service wasn't really slow but we had a large party (2 tables) and ordered app's and drinks.

Oh and the food was good too!
