DH has enjoyed the Bangers & Mash, the Pork loin and the Shepherds Pie; I usually have the Fish & Chips (although I did find the fish a little greasier than it's been in the past when we were there in September).

At Mama Melrose, I've always enjoyed the 4-cheese flatbread pizza (when we were there in September I wasn't as happy with it...but I think I was overheated and very tired (we ate at 5:30 p.m. and we'd been up since 3:30 a.m. for our flight that day); DH likes the chicken parmesan and the woodgrilled tuna at lunch.

I love Rose and Crown. I always get Potato Leek soup and their Steak and Fish dinner - YUM!!!!

Thank you both for the suggestions! Anyone else?

Hmm The yard of ale is good as well as the bangers and mash. We get the fish at the counter service outside as a snack in the afternoon.

Never had Mamma Melroses

I love R&C. A few corrections; the fish and steak is not available at lunch, and Disney no longer has the yards of beer. But on that, Disney has the freshest Guinness west of GB. The potato leek soup is great. But I like about everything on the menu. I'm too far away for a day trip, so I think I'll head to Louisville this week to eat at The Pub, a place with a similar menu but a far more extensive beer list. mmmm.

Our group thought the fish & chips was the best entree at R&C! The bangers & mash were good - but not enough of it for my DH.

For dessert, we had the whiskey cake and sticky toffee pudding. The whiskey cake was very good chocolate cake - but I didn't taste any whiskey to it. The toffee pudding was very good and different from anything you would get anywhere else. I vote for the toffee pudding for dessert.

I am not a big Fish eater,my DS on the other hand loves fish,I would not mind trying it. Does the fish have a fish taste?,if you know what I mean?

My mom CRAVES the shepard's pie at R&C- it's a must do for us every trip. I also enjoy R&C's bangers & mash.

BTW TigerKat, I'm from TT also! I did quite a few sports as one of the "Fighting Irish" growing up.

We will be having dinner at R&C next month for the first time. Ever since I have been on the Food Porn thread and saw the fish and chips I have been really wanting to try them (that is why we have an ADR there :goodvibes ). I also really enjoying all the suggestions myself because my DH is not quite sure what he will get here, he does love the beer (however he will be very bummed that the Yard of Beer is gone) but for food, he is clueless. One question though, my 7 and 5 are big into the whole fish and chips type dinners too, do they have a children's portion of it?
