Rose & Crown ADR & Illuminations

I have a 7:40p.m. reservation at Rose & Crown. Is that seating time too early to request outside seating to view Illuminations?

7:40 is a great time for a reservation to try to catch Illuminations at 9:00! You can ask for a table outside w/ a view, but they usually can't/won't let you wait for one. Particularly if it's busy, you usually have to just take the next available table. They'll let you over to their viewing section, though, if you're seated somewhere w/out a view when the show starts.

(My first response showed up before your question. Glitch??)

Just checked my Passporter from this year to see what time we booked - it was 7.45pm so yes it's a good time. We had an outdoor table but some of the overhead high fireworks were blocked from view by a canopy over the tables so I stood for a short time to take some phtotos. When we went it was pretty quiet (end August) and no-one was seated inside. They stopped serving for a while whilst the show was going on - served desserts after Illuminations. Was quite happy with that - I had a cocktail to keep me company.
