We've often had a 7:45 or so ADR at Rose and Crown and were always told by the servers that we were welcome to stay at our table on the deck for Illuminations at 9 PM. I don't think they even take ADRs much after 7:45 anyway, so I doubt we're taking up anyone else's table. We're going in two weeks, when Illuminations is at 9:30. Am I safe to assume that we can still stay to watch Illuminations at 9:30, if we're lucky enough to get a table on the deck? I don't know if the restaurant has an actual closing time, or if it's just when the last patron leaves.

Sure. Pace yourselves w dinner. Order an appie then when received order dinner. Can slow down the services

We usually make our R&C ADRs around 7:15-7:25 and our server always assumes we are staying for Illuminations and lets us know that is more than ok with them, and they will pace the meal however we would like. I always worry that there won't be tables outside left if we do an ADR any later, but we always see tables seated much after us outside so my worry is likely unfounded.

We always do drinks, apps, entrees, after dinner drinks, and desserts at R&C, and often times it takes the full time anyway.

You should be fine, by the way the holiday fireworks at illuminations are amazing, especially the Holiday added last 5 minutes of the show.

We picked up a 7:50 reservation the same day yesterday for Rose and Crown. They sitted us dead center on the patio outside! Couldn’t believe our luck!! Our waitress just assumed we would be staying through Illuminations. She even got us an extra drink and let us pay the pill and then wait for the show to start so after the fireworks ended we just got up and left. It was an awesome experience!!

Is this still true for end of Dec. with later hours? Friends got 7:45 ADR with same reasoning, but realized Illuminations is not scheduled till 10:30. There were no ADRs past 8 - obviously longer than you would stretch dinner, but would they still be welcome to stay to view the show? Anyone had experience with late hours?

You'll be fine.

All of our Disney trips have been in December when Illuminations is at 9:30pm and we always make a 7:45pm ADR for R & C. It's worked out for us everytime. No pressure to leave at all.
