We also had dinner at the Rose and Crown one night. I have to say it was a pleasant surprise as the food was quite good. We had a very attentive, funny waiter and just enjoyed ourselves...

Not on the par with the Citrico's, but definitely a good meal inside Epcot.

I have to agree with you.....when we went in December, I was quite surprised and pleased at how much it improved. Some of the appetizer choices were more "upscale" than they used to be.....and I loved the Sticky Toffee Pudding for dessert. In fact, it is one of my favorite desserts ever in WDW now. Service was very good also.

We had a wonderful meal there, most of us enjoyed the fish and chips. They made a really big deal about DS11's birthday. Our waitress, Louise, was fabulous and the Citris Triffle was really good.

Do any of you know whether the have Prime Rib on the menu again? I had it there in the past and it was wonderful. I am trying to make decisions for our October trip and wondered. The scope of the recently seen menu seemed limited. I am glad to hear good reviews. Thanks for your help

We had lunch there last week. My husband had the Bangers and Mash which he liked and I had the Salad which was very good. Very nice and relaxing to sit down by the water. Also .. very good service!

I thought my husband had prime rib but he just informed me he had steak and it was delicious...it had yorkshire pudding which was yummy as well ( I had to taste it too.)

I do not remember if the menu had prime rib on it or not.. Sorry.... :)

Glad to hear the wonderful reviews.

We have a PS for the evening we arrive in June. This will be our first time dining at Rose and Crown.

We have actually had prime rib there when it wasn't listed on the menu. I don't know if they always have it. The pie sampler (an entree) is delicious. :earsboy:

BTW~What is Yorkshire pudding? I always wondered

This is a recipe for Yorkshire pudding I found on the net. I am no expert on Yorkshire pudding, but did have it in England when we visited our daughter who lives there..

Yorkshire Pudding
¼ cup of bacon dripping
½ cup milk
1 egg, well-beaten
½ cup sifted all-purpose flour
¼ teaspoon salt

Temp: 450º F Time: 10 - 15 min. I use a glass pie plate so if you also do, turn the heat down to 425°F.

It was very tasty, almost like a popover consistency. :)

Marsha, I don't think we would put 'bacon dripping' into the Yorkshire pudding mix in the UK.

You would put oil or fat in what ever you are cooking the pudding in, and get that really hot in the oven beofre adding the yorkshire batter mix :)

Try making individual yorkshire puddings in muffin baking trays :)

Yorkshire pudding can also be eaten as a dessert - I love it with butter and sugar :)

Thank goodness one of my favorite Brit mods stepped up to the plate to tell us how Yorkshire pudding is really made.....

I know I liked it, went to the net for a recipe and came up with that.. I actually thought you used the fat from the meat you were cooking...i.e. roast beef, but then again, I am a Yank and what do I know..

Everyone listen to Tim, he knows better than I. Hey Tim, how about posting your recipe (or your wife's) here for us novices. :) :) Big hugs!!!!

The pie sampler is gone from the menu - new change. I was disappointed! We got back last Tues. and so ...we ate there last Monday. Hard to believe it was already a week ago!
Anyway, looking at the menu I brought home...there is a grilled rib-eye steak and a grilled stak with shrimp...don't see any other steak on here.
Darn - looking at this makes me want to go back so bad!

Thanks so much Mackey Mouse and Goofyish! We have a PS for 5/21 at Rose & Crown. Looking forward to trying the Yorkshire pudding! :teeth:
