Rose and Crown..

If I am using the DDP, I will try for a more upscale TS Restaurant. If not, I love this place. Bangars and mash, the Imperial Sampler and Illuminations while you are dining. Great way to cap off the day.

We ate there last summer for the first time and loved it! our waitress was super friendly and helpful (we didn't know what some things on the menu were) and just made our meal really fun. The food was outstanding and the desserts were scrumptious! I highly recommend it :thumbsup2

We ate there on our last trip and we loved it. My Dh loves the fish & Chips, I love the bangars and mash.

We ususally pay oop for this one and really love it. The beer is the big bonus. If you drink and aren't sure which to get, try the sampler. At lunch, the Ploughman's lunch is great.

R&C is a good place to eat in Epcot. We went there a few days ago with friends and we got to see/taste a lot of the menu at one meal. From the Sheppards Pie (good, but not quite as good as it used to be), Ploughman's Lunch (very good), and the Cheese plate (good selection, but not much there).

I agree about the Ploughman's lunch! DH and I were there there for the first time last year for lunch and we made an ADR for lunch for the first day of our vacation in December. I am looking forward to the beer also! :)

not the best place to eat..very little for the $$$$$ fish is the size of guppies..that what call thm..guppies and chip..and the are greassy..but it disney the food is not really good anywhere..eat off grounds if you can

We thought the food last year wasn't as good as it had been but the beer is pretty good still!! If you can get an ADR for around 7.30ish you will have one of the best views of Illuminations just after you have finished dessert. Sit outside if you can and watch from your table or, if you're inside, there is plenty of standing room on the patio.

:cool1: :hippie: Yep 7:30 is about the best time to be there for Illuminations, Last Sept. and this June just about dessert time Illuminations started. Best place in the Worlds to view Illuminations.

This is one of those restaurants that inspires both good and bad reviews. I can't wait to check it out for lunch in February. I hope to at least like my "guppies & greasy chip" (:lmao: I thought that was a funny description "canron"). (I'm hoping it won't seem that bad to me!!)

Maybe I am just looking forward to the Harp beer! :thumbsup2

I am curious to know about the desserts? the only thing that looks appealing to me is the apple crumble. HOwever, I have never tried anything close to the other options.

Illuminations is at 930pm on Dec 7th, so we have 9pm res...i REALLY hope we get a table on the patio!!:yay:

The Warm Apple Crumble is delicious! I think DH had the Sticky Toffee Pudding and he devoured it. We've only been one time, but are planning to go back on our next trip. Fantastic service and we all loved the food.

We've done this. When we arrived I asked for a lagoon side table. The hostess said the wait might be a little longer but no problem. The wait wasn't very long and our table was right on the water. In fact, the little girl at the table next to us got to "start" the show. What a memory for us and a real magical moment for that little girl.

I've only eaten at Rose & Crown once and thought it was very good. I've drank at the bar several times and it's always a lot of fun!!

In our four trips we only ate there once, had a negative experience with hosting staff so that is probably why we haven't given it another try. We did like the food and our waitress just fine. However it was a very cold Feb. evening and we requested an indoor table and said we'd wait for one. After waiting we were taken to an outdoor table! Right by the swinging service door to boot! I was polite but assertive and stated that this table was not acceptable and we would return to the waiting area to wait for the next indoor table. The host began to argue with me about how this table was fine for us. I told him not only did we prefer to be indoors on a cold night but the swinging door was too close to the table. As he started to argue that the door was "no problem" out came a server and smacked the door into one of the chairs at the table! :rolleyes1 We were taken immediatedly to an indoor table but I must say that sort of spoiled the mood for us and we haven't returned. :sad2:

We eat here on every trip. We ate there last December again and had great meals. In fact I had a better steak there then I did at Le Cellier.
