Does anyone have any pics of the Rose and Crown Restaurant.

specifically the view from the restaurant.

if you're having dinner at or around the time of the fireworks do you see them from inside?

are there tables outside?

thanks.

There is a patio area outside. You can see the fireworks from outside, it is on showcase lagoon. I do not know about inside, but i read that most people come out to the patio area. Patio seating is really hard to come by, even when requested... so don't count on it. I had lunch there, on the patio and a huge thunderstorm started and the view of the lagoon and rain and all that was wonderful

is it hard to get a patio seat at the beginning of May? or just during peak season?

In my experience, its really just the luck of the draw. Last year we went with no ressies, had a great CM who just decided to seat us with a great view on the patio. I personally am just as happy to get up and go outside or on the patio during Illuminations anyway as most people do. The kids want to jump around anyway, and even with a patio view, you often have obstructions.

1) You do not have a view of fireworks from inside.
2) Some tables on the patio are blocked out for some fireworks.
3) There is a standing-only area for R&C patrons for fireworks viewing.

NOTE: Over all, getting a patio seat is tough. It is (like above) luck of the draw. If you get a seat, pray for wind direction. Many times the smoke and particles from the fireworks drift onto the patio area. Anyone for "pie ala ash".

I never even thought about the difficulty of getting a patio table...we went last december at firework time and were seated on the patio immediately with an amazing view. It was our honeymoon though so maybe that was why? There is a viewing area outside though for guests of the restaurant and most people from inside came out and watched from there.

You mentioned pics of the view from the restaurant: These were taken from the lower level (waterside) out on the patio. Sorry they're so huge, couldn't figure out how to make them smaller! :cutie:
