What is your favorite appetizer, entree, and dessert at Rose and Crown? Help me choose what to order!! Thanks!!

Out of all my ADRs last December, Rose and Crown was the one I really didn't want (friend chose). It was, however, one of the best meals of our entire trip. I had the Potato and Leek soup, which was good, but was a bit heavy on the cream. My DH and friends chose the cheese plate and they loved it. I had the steak and fish which was FABULOUS! I don't like fish normally, but I actually ate it this time! The steak was really good too. For dessert, I had the warm apple crumble which was good as well.

I will definitely be heading back on our next trip.

I second the cheese plate! The chicken w/leeks was great as well as the salad w/Stratton (bleu) cheese. My dgd (11) and I shared all of this and we were too full for dessert.

I had the salmon appetizer and it was very good. My friend had the cheese plate and raved about it. I had the bangers and mash (mild sausages and mashed potatoes) which were extremely filling but not sure I'd go that route again. Can't remember what my friend had. Maybe Shepherd's Pie? For dessert we had the apple crumble and it was delicious and served warm! :thumbsup2 If it's a warm day, eat out on their little terrace. Lovely view!:cloud9:

The only thing I really liked at The Rose and Crown was dessert - sticky toffee pudding - it was fabulous!

Roasted Mushrooms - cooked with Cream and Garlic, served on a puff pastry

Harry Ramsden's Fish & Chips - Battered fresh Cod served with English Chips

Warm Apple Crumble topped with ice cream

These are my favorite choices, we will be eating here in about a month!!:cool1:

Mrs. Disney Ron

This is one of my favorite places to eat at Epcot.

1. Potato and Leek Soup. This is really good. Very rich.

2. The Fish and Chips. I really liked the fish here. The batter was not too heavy.

3. The sticky toffee pudding. A little piece of heaven in a bowl.:)

Rose & Crown is one restaurant DH insists on--he's from England and likes his little taste of home.

Our favorites:
Fruit & Cheese plate. I love Stilton and they used to have slices of it on the plate and on our last visit, they had put the Stilton into a puff pastry thing. It was good but I miss just eating the slices of Stilton.

Bangers & Mash with Onion gravy. This is a favorite for both DH and I although he sometimes gets shepherd's pie.

Dessert--Trifle all the way.

How is the Roasted Pork Loin - mustard-crusted pork loin with Vegetable puree, watercress and mustard butter. We have ADR's for June, last year had the Steak and Fish and want to try something different this year. We like going here also to see Illuminations.

Appetizer: Boddington's Ale

Entree': Bass Ale

Dessert: Guinness Stout

:rotfl2: All seriousness aside......

What else but Fish-n-Chips at an English Pub!!

I love the cheese plate and my DH gets the Scottish smoked salmon. I enjoyed the salmon as well.

I enjoy both the Bangers & Mash and Fish & chips. I usually have a pretty good debate with myself on which to order. I almost always end up going with the Bangers & Mash because I can get the fish and chips at the counter service location.

For Dessert, I love the sticky toffee pudding.

Fish & Chips!

and I forget the name of the dessert ............. ___ trifle? way better than I thought it would be!

All the adults in my group really liked the smoked salmon appetizer. It is not a traditional presentation with slices of salmon and so on, it is more of a mousse. But, it is excellent.

Thumbs up also for the fish and chips and the cheese plate.

I also love the fruit & cheese plate, fish & chips & the apple crumble. My entire family loves this restaurant - it's always on our list of adrs.:goodvibes

fruit and cheese plate is awsome.
Last week we were there and they had just added pot roast to the menu (sorry I forgot to take a picture) Had it and It was delicious!.

Do they still have the mushroom appetizer? I loved that last time I was there. It was served over a puff pastry and was really tasty.

You can't miss with the fish and chips, but I've also enjoyed the Sheppard's Pie.

I've eaten there about 20 times and all I ever get is the Fish & Chips (and a Harp of course).
