Does anyone know how it works when you have just a regular ADR for Rose and Crown. We have an 8 PM reservation (didn't want to do the dining package because
of the limited menu). Are all the outside tables reserved for the Dining Package? Do they still have the little area where they used to take the indoor diners to so they
could see the fireworks?

Thanks!

Outside is reserved for Pkg on any given night. The Pkg folks would normally be sat on the lower patio and that leave the covered porch open for regular ADRs. BUT every time I've dined at R&C (3x lately) the Pkg folks have been seated on the covered porch, including us. There was no rain when we went, I don't think any rain close on radar but they said "We are seating you under cover in case and then for the show you can move down to patio" ... so made me wonder if that is pretty standard now to avoid issues with regular ADRs and slow business to closing. We arrived before 8 pm for the 8:15 reservation and they had cleared those tables for Pkg and seated us immediately.

If having a great view is important then I would not book an ADR that will prevent you from getting a good spot along the lagoon.

There is a small area you can go to watch but it's tight if there are lots of folks there. I posted a photo here ... it is really not part of the restaurant so they will direct you to it but never seen it reserved by a CM.

It isn't a balcony, it's a small space on the sidewalk next to the restaurant that is connected to public area.

The Package folks have the lower patio unless weather is poor then they move up and take the upper patio. If you are lucky you might get seated on the upper patio, but then could be bumped if the weather isn't good.

The folks standing past the light post are in the restaurant's viewing area. The folks sitting back to where I am are in the public viewing area. There is no barrier between them.

The package folks are normally where those closed umbrellas are and regular guests on the covered patio. Because it was raining the package folks were moved to the covered patio.

This was in November for Harmonious.

I have 2 ADRs and will be canceling one of them. Rose and Crown at 7:05pm and 8:05 pm. We do not have the fireworks dining package (never could find one). Which one should I keep if we want to be able to see the fireworks from our table? I’m hoping weather allows us to be seated outdoors. I’m concerned the earlier ADR is too early for fireworks.

Early one is def too early. I don't think you can stretch a meal there that long. I would keep the 8:05 and fingers crossed for a good table. I would check in maybe at 7:40 and ask for an outside table, even if they seat you a bit later than your time, that time wise is still good for show.

Thank you. I agree.

@HopperFan arer your recent experiences that you are describing, ones where you had a normal ADR and not fireworks package? Meaning, there is still a chance (understood that it should not be an expectation) that one can book a late-time ADR, request an outdoor table (subject to CM's/availability), and be able to stay at the table during the duration of the fireworks?

I'm not concerned about optimal viewing of Harmonious. But we did this in 2018 and really enjoyed it as a low-key fireworks experience.

I had a Fireworks package, I've also eaten with late dining ADR, both with Harmonious.

As I said above on any given night the "outside" covered patio with view might not be available to regular ADRs if they choose to put the Fireworks Pkg guests there. At both my Fireworks meal and ADR meal they got the covered patio. One night was raining, one was not. They could then move down to the traditional fireworks viewing tables. All other guests were inside or the patio along the side of the building that really has no viable view. It is a risk to go with an ADR and want a view. If one is willing to risk it then I'd try for as close to 8 pm for your ADR, it's not a meal that is lengthy say like California Grill where you can drag it a couple hours.

Very helpful thank you!

We usually do the Fireworks package but were not able to get it for our trip just this past February so booked a regular reservation at 7:45. When we checked in we very nicely requested an outside table and we got one right at the railing above the package people. It was quite chilly that night, and we had a patio heater right above us and the package people all looked like they were freezing. Our server told us no problem to keep the table for the fireworks and we thought it was amazing!! We really lucked out.

We had a regular reservation for Rose and Crown. We were seated on the patio. But not right next to the water. We were given the choice to stay at the table to watch or go down to the viewing area which was reserved for Rose and Crown diners
