I have heard so many times that this is a great spot from which to see Illuminations. but I was wondering, do all tables have a view or do you just have to hope to get lucky?

Thanks!!

You need to make PS in advance, and mention that you want an outside table. They won't be able to guarantee it, but they'll note it.

Be sure to show up early, and request an outside table. You'll probably have to wait longer, but if you build in enough extra time, you should be able to get one!

If that's all too much work for you, then do what we do. Grab a table at the Cantina in Mexico! First-come, first-served, so we get our table around 7:30 and sit and relax with margaritas and nachos! The view is great from there! :)

I tried to get a table with a view at Rose and Crown and it was a disaster!

The CM's were definately NOT happy that we asked to wait. They kept repeating first table available which was of course inside.

I really wish that they would do something along the lines of the Fanstamic dinner package or even I'd pay extra for a seat.

Have pity on the poor R&C waiters. That must be the most annoying job in the world. We went last September when the parks were empty, on a Tuesday night, no less. I waited in a line of fifteen people, each asking to wait for a porch seat, and of course when I presented my PS, I asked for the same thing.

Without a doubt, they ought to make it a "special event" type of thing. I'm in the crew that would pay extra. The poor guys. It must make running their restaurant dinner hour a pain when sixty people want fifteen seats.

I agree - they should find some way to guarantee an outside table. Maybe a credit card deposit at the time of the PS that you lose if you don’t show up (but that is applied to your bill if you do show up). I mean, their food is not really good enough to get me there – it’s the view I’m looking for! I’m bringing a friend next time and it will be her first time there, so we have to get a good view of Illuminations. Since I can’t count on patio seating at R&C I guess I’ll try the Cantina.
