Rose and Crown - reservation time and Illuminations

What is the best time to reserve dinner at Rose and Crown? We are planning on dining there to see Illuminations. An older lady will be part of our group and this seemed like a good plan. Any comments welcome. Thanks beachfan

I am trying the same thing when we're there next week. Based on what the Unofficial Guide recommended, I made an ADR for 7:50. They recommended getting an ADR for about 1 hr 15 mins before showtime (9 pm). It goes on to say that you should arrive a few mins early and request an outside table for viewing Illuminations.

According to them, the staff will try to accommodate you.
