Has anyone eaten here recently for dinner? I had to switch my plans and move RC from lunch to dinner and LeCellier from dinner to lunch in order to eat before Illuminations. I really want a steak for dinner but the only steak on the menu at allears is part of the 3 course deal and I don't like the other 2 courses. When we went a few years ago there was prime rib or something on the menu. Can anyone comment on whether you can order some kind of steak for dinner at Rose and Crown?

There is a Steak and Prawns platter available for dinner. It's on the menu at allears under Main Courses.

Rose and Crown Steak and Prawns - grilled steak, horseradish sauce, Harry Ramsden's batter-fried prawns, mashed potatoes, and seasonal vegetables $21.99

I must have missed that one since it included prawns. I'm sure I could just ask for it without the prawns.

I wouldn't recommend the steak at R&C though. Not very good. The other food there is much better. My DH and I both had the Steak and Prawns and neither of us liked it very much. JMHO

Has anyone recently had the ribeye from the 3 course meal? We're still going to try to get Le Cellier for dinner but I even called the hostess there and she's booked solid, even in 2 tops for that night.

I liked the prawns but the steak was just OK. This was not our favorite meal of the week last week. In fact came in last. It wasn't bad just not as good as the others.

It took us much longer to get seated here than any other TS even tho we had AR's. We never got our last refills of diet cokes. Service was slow. And to top it all off our card was scanned twice. Good thing we caught that or we'd have been without free TS the last night. It was easliy fixed but still a pain in the butt.

We were there Aug 28--one first day and we were very tired. Our ressies were for 5:30 but the took us at 4:30. The steak was good-we thought delisious at the time but we then ate at concourse which was much better. For Prime rib we enjoyed it at both Chef Mickeys and H&V. If you can get in to Le Cellier I would go for it, but we never made it because they were all booked up.
