Rose and Crown or Whispering Canyon?

We have ADRs for R&C at 7:30 figuring we can see Illuminations from there but I really don't think the little ones will be able to handle eating dinner that late. So I was thinking of cancelling that ADR and eating at Whispering Canyon (on a different night) with the TS credit. I think we will still be able to see the fireworks from other places in Epcot, and DH is a real ham so I think he would like to be pulled out of the crowd at Whispering Canyon. Is there anything so wonderful about the food at R&C that we shouldn't miss?

The food is nice, but I wouldn't miss Whispering Canyon's fun for Rose and Crown's food. That, combined with the fact that there's at least a 60% chance of getting a table at Rose and Crown that doesn't have a view of Illuminations, I'd say you're making a good decision.

Have done both and would choose Whispering Canyon over Rose and Crown hands down everytime! Your kids and DH will love it!!!!!!

I think we are going with Whispering Canyon. The kids will do much better with the fireworks/staying up late if they eat at a normal time and have time to urn around anyway. Don't want to end up recognizing our family's description on one of those "can you believe what I saw?" threads. Probably will anyway, but we're trying to minimize our chances!
