Has anyone ever had the "Cottage Pie Sampler" ? Could you share a description with me. Are the pies like a pot pie or in wedges? Was it good?

Also, what types of cheese and fruit were on that plate?

If I remember correctly, I was feeling brave when I tried this. It came out as three seperate little pot pies that were VERY filling. My favorite one was the chicken and i think leek, It was very tasty but I couldn't finish the other two. I wasn't a big fan of the pork one but then I'm not a big fan of pork in particular so I wouldn't follow my word on that one! Overall I liked it and would have it again simply for it's varietyand it's something different to have. I remember it came with a side of vegetables, green beans I think but I don't remember it coming with cheese and fruit or was that a different dish and I'm confused? It wouldn't be the first time!

I got his on the recommendation of our server. I loved it! The pork pie was my favorite, but they were all very good. I think it came with mashed potatoes and green beans. mmmm, now I'm hungry!

I had the sampler, too. It was pretty good, my favorite was the chicken and leek.

Sorry my other reference wasn't clear, I wondered if anyone had tried the appetizer called "English Fruit and Cheese Plate"?

We had the cheese plate. I don't remember what kinds of cheeses were on it, but I know we ate it.

I think I remember a blue cheese (Stilton, probably) which I don't like, but I ate the others. (DH digs blue cheeses )

We enjoyed it well enough -- not exptremely impressed or I would have remembered more about it, and not disappointed either, or I would have remembered that, too! LOL


If you like cheese, try it.

I had the cheese plate, too. Very good. It comes with 3 or 4 different cheeses, crackers, and grapes.

The oddest thing about the Pie Sampler is the Pork Pie - you see, it's served hot and over here it is definately <b>not</b>. Infact, we wouldn't really eat it at all for dinner unless it was summer and was maybe having a salad or something. It's a very popular picnic food too.

I don't really know how I'd feel about eating a hot pork pie I daresay I'll give it a go one day though

LOVE the pies. The fruit and cheese was also delicious, but I can't tell you the types of cheese(Stilton sounds right, and it rocks)
