rose and crown going to all day menu

we ate at rose and crown the other evening and the chef/manager? was going table to table asking how meal was and we commented on the hot apple dessert and how it changed, and she said "wait until september when we go to all day menu alot of people will not be happy". anyone else hear this?

I guess with Free Dining, they will want to save $. I wonder if other restaurants will do similar.

Lunch used to always be somewhat cheaper. Dinner had fancier dishes usually. That's what I think. It will be easier for restaurants to have the same thing all day.

It would make it easier for me. Yes, lunch is cheaper. I can see where going to a Chili's type menu would be nice. Same thing all day long. Want a steak for lunch? You have the same selection as you would at dinner. And I find it difficult to find sandwiches at dinner which is why I usually book lunches. And how many times have we heard "can I order *fill in the blank* that is only on the lunch menu at dinner?"?

Burgers at the Sci-Fi for dinner. No more question about it. You can order it. I don't even care if the prices increase. I'd like to be able to eat whatever that's on the menu from 11:30 to park closing without having to decide which meal or which food.

In a way, with the increased difficulty in getting ADRs for many places, having an all day menu works out for those who wanted a dinner ADR but could only get lunch - they wouldn't have to "settle" or miss their favorite dishes just because there was no space available at night.
