Is there bar seating or anywhere to sip just a drink at Rose and Crown or is our only option making a reservation?

What time of day?

At night, Rose and Crown gets very crowded.

During the day, before the restaurant opens, it’s reasonably easy to get a seat outside.

If it didn't have a bar it would not be a pub. :) Of course this is Disney so there were no guarantees.

Rose & Crown photos from our last trip, outside having drinks. No problem getting a seat during the day. It's much harder to get seating once the sun sets.

This looks great (minus the eye sore in the middle of the lake!). It’ll just be the hubby and I so we’ll def plan on this earlier in the day! Thanks!

The "bar/lounge" is the Rose and Crown Pub and it is located at the front of the building right where you walk up. Just drinks here.

The "restaurant" is the Rose and Crown Dining Room and it is located in the back on the water, you make an ADR there and that is where you can order food.

This is the Pub ...

The Pub is very small with a bar where you can stand. There are also a few tables to sit at. We have always found it crowded but usually we get a "space" within 30 minutes. We've also made ADR to sit outside.

We had dinner at Rose and Crown about a week ago. i will say the pub area was jammed. we could hardly get through the crowd in the pub to get to the restrooms, which are on the other side of the pub. It was doubly hard because the standees in the pub included a ton of kids, and we had to be very careful not to knock into any littles. I would say if you want drinks, go early.

There is a special line at the DMV for people who bring their kids to pubs :)

To be fair though, a pub has more of a family atmosphere even in European countries. Many pubs I went to allowed kids until around 8 or 9 pm. At Disney (in this case, Rose and Crown), I fully expect kids to be there. A bar is completely different (no food and smoking is allowed). Bringing kids to a bar is straight up weird IMO.

Yes the pub gets packed. We had a candlelight dinner package last week at the Rose and Crown. The hostess set us at our table which was right beside the pub. People were having a great time there but it was so loud that my wife and I could not even talk. Even our waiter apologized. That being said, it looked like a lot of fun at the pub
