The title was just to get your attention. Nothing insinuated.

Hi. I always skipped Rose and Crown, because its a bar/pub, and none of us drink alcohol.
Would you recommend it to a family with small children who dont drink?

Is the food good?

Would we feel "out of place" if we dont drink?

Is it fun? Festive? Whats the place like, or is it just another restaurant?

We have eaten there countless times and never had a drink!

We enjoy the food there, and we especially enjoy the servers and the great view of Illuminations. Enjoy!

My family (2 kids) and I had lunch there recently. The bar is kind of separated from the dining areas. There's outdoor tables and indoor tables - the indoor area is on one side of the restaurant, the bar on the other. Now, you have to go through the bar area to get to the restrooms, but it's 'Disney' so the bar is fairly low key.

We were seated outside on the patio. Folks at other tables were ordering ale, but it certainly wasn't required or expected. We stuck to cokes and tea - didn't feel awkward at all.

Lots of folks probably like Rose and Crown food - we didn't particularly care for it. I tried the fish and chips - it was OK. In my opinion, there's better restaurants at World Showcase. But, if you've never been and want to try something different, give it a shot. Oh yeah, I hear the outside tables are in demand in the evening right before Illuminations...

Were booked for our next trip. The wife is leery, The cheeses sound good. I LOVE Cheese! No Whimsleydale???? Would would Wallace and Grommet think of THAT??? ;)
I can see how the tables would be in high demand.
I had the fish at the CS, and it was a lower OK. VERY greasy.

The menu looks great. Especially for seafood lovers.

The pub is separated from the restaurant. The pub area's often full of Brits having a taste of home. Everyone's very friendly. The food is okay. I'm glad you have small children who don't drink.

We always go there in the evening for dinner and Illuminations. It is great:cool1: We don't drink either (nothing against drinkers) and have always had a good time.

We had just arrived off the Friendship boat around lunchtime and we were starving. This restaurant was the first one we came too and it was very good. I had the potato & leak soup, DD8 had the cottage (shephard's pie) and DS had the kids meal fish & chips. DH had 2 different kinds of beer which he liked very much. :thumbsup2

I got it. I thought it was kinda funny actually. I felt like George W Bush for a minute there, :cool1:
Always stumbling over my own words.

Rose & Crown is DH's favorite WDW restaurant. I think we've been there on every trip. As other's have said the pub area is separated from the dining room, so you won't feel out of place with small children. We've always had very friendly servers there. I highly recommend the beef stew!
