Rose and Crown and Napoli?

we are looking to try some new places for our Sept trip-- so tell me the good bad and ugly of Rose and Crown and Napolis-- and if you have a pic post of pic of what you had good to eat at each location

We went to both places earlier this month. There were 5 of us, I don't remember what everyone had at R&C but I recall the comments ranged from good to very good(but not great). I had the Sheperd's pie which was good.

It was our first time at Via Napoli and we all had pizza. Thought it was very good, but no one in our group is in any rush to return.

Over in the restaurant reviews forum is a thread titled What did WE celebrate 30 days of Disney Dining and Fun. They visited Rose and crown at least once and Napoli at least twice on their trip. She includes her thoughts on their food and pictures. You should check it out. On the first page she has links to the various reviews so you don't have to read through all 60 pages.

We were not really impressed with Rose and Crown. It was okay and we enjoyed our viewing location for the Illuminations show right off their patio. But none of us are clamoring to return anytime soon.

We have heard great things about Napoli from several different people and are looking forward to our reservation there in March.

We love the Rose and Crown. It is a must-do for us every trip. The food doesn't knock my socks off, but the atmosphere and the service does. We love being seated outside, and every single year our servers have been awesome. This is the only restaurant where we have tipped quite a bit extra, over our normal 20%.

We have never felt rushed during our meal. DH and I really enjoy a couple of black and tans before dinner. And we tend to linger over dessert because it's so picturesque. This year we have a reservation during Illuminations (our first time seeing it!). Hopefully it will be outstanding again.

Haven't been to R & C for awhile but in December DW and I visited Napoli for lunch. We split the Calamari Fritta, a salad for two and a individual pizza. It was very good and very authentic. My DW is the only one that can make the calamari better and even though I have to say that, it was very, very good.

Have not been to Napoli, but Rose and Crown is one of my VERY FAVORITES in all of Disney!!! EXCELLENT quality food and nice servers. You cannot go wrong with Rose and Crown -- overall UNDERRATED in my opinion!!!

I have never been to Via Napoli, but am planning on eating there on our next trip.

I've done Rose and Crown, I believe 3 times, the first two times we all really enjoyed the food but the last time, which was about a year ago, the food just tasted different and not quite as good as I remembered it, so we probably won't be choosing it again anytime soon. For the record, I ordered the shepherds pie every time, but tasted my travel companions food. But you probably can't go wrong with the fish and chips, which did look good.
