Rose and Crown and Illumination

We had a 7:30 and asked for the patio for a birthday party. It timed out perfect - they let us stay so we could watch illuminations from the patio.
Anywhere from 7:30-8PM should be good.

Typical advice is to get an ADR for about 90 minutes before the start of IllumiNations if you're hoping for a patio table. You may or may not be allowed to wait for a patio table (generally they don't allow requests). If you're seated at a table without a view (or with a restricted view), there is the reserved viewing area for R&C guests. It's located to the left of the restaurant. Just let your server know you want to watch the show and they'll take you out there.

Like any viewing location, how clear the view is depends on who is in front of you.

on the same note if we have a 6:10pm res and Illuminations starts at 6:30pm do you think we will be waiting for a long time since people will be sitting waiting for the show?

IllumiNations usually starts at 9:00 pm. During F&W weekends and CP, it starts at 10:00 pm, but that only happens when Epcot itself remains open until 10:00 pm. I don't think IllumiNations runs at 6:30 pm. When are you going?
