DAY 2-Monday 16th October 2006

Cast-Me- Julie(41)
DH-Tommy(49)
DS-Rory(10)

We woke up at 7.30 and went to breakfast. We didn’t get a time, just told that breakfast was between 6.30 and 10.30.Went back to the room and collected our cases and went to check out. We got the shuttle bus to the station and then the Santa Fe shuttle bus. We got there about 9.30 and went to check in. We were expecting to get the park tickets and have to return later for the room but we got our room too. We went to the room and dumped the cases and walked straight to the park along the Rio Grande and through the village.
We found that bag check had been moved to nearer the park entrance and got to the park about 10 past 10.As we were going along Main Street we heard music and realised it was the cavalcade so we stopped and watched that. Then as we were walking towards the pumpkin DS saw Cruella De Vil and Maleficent so we went for autographs and photos. :maleficen

DS wanted to do Buzzlightyear so we went to find that and got Fastpasses for 12.25-12.55. We went to Frontierland to see all the Halloween theming. The Mark Twain was just docking so we decided to have a ride on it, a lovely way to see the land. When we got off we went for a walk past BTM down towards the Fantastitch stage. We had lunch at Cowboy Cookout. DH had the mega burger, DS had burger too and I had the BBQ chicken. The weather was really lovely and warm so we decided to sit at a table outside to eat and listen to Goofy and the Magic Pot on the stage.
By the time we had eaten it was time for Buzz , DH got the best score. From there we went for a wander around Fantasyland. We found the park really busy compared to last June and it was getting hotter so we just wandered instead of queuing for a long time. We decided to have pudding at Fantasia Gelati, DS had waffle with chocolate sauce and whipped cream and DH and I had crepes with chocolate sauce and whipped cream (yummy) with cokes.
After this we wandered into Adventureland and DS and I did Indiana Jones. DH has a bad back so he just waited for us. DS wasn’t too sure about doing the ride but decided to be brave and when we got off he was really pleased that he’d done it. We then walked round to POTC and saw Jack Sparrow. pirate:

This ride was closed last year but DS didn’t want to ride it so we went back to Main Street to get a place for watching the parade.
The parade was excellent and the music really catchy. We then had more of a wander around before leaving the park to go to King Ludwig’s for tea. We got there about 6.45 and got a table straight away and as we were eating we could see the queue getting longer. DH had a burger, DS had fish and chips and I had steak. DS wasn’t impressed with the fish as it was just a fish shaped fish finger.
We went back to the hotel and got a kettle(30euros deposit) and the tea basket(4.60 euros). We went to find the Trading Post and then went to the Esso garage for some water. The same water that had been 2 euros in the park was 0.60 euros here. We actually got a 1.5 litre bottle instead for taking into the park the next day. Back to the room and then watched some tv before bed.
