Rope dropping Test Track or Soarin

What is typically a good amount of time to allow if I rope drop either one of these rides on a moderate-low crowd day? I plan on making reservations for a late breakfast in the park for each of my 2 Epcot days, but want to allow an appropriate amount of time. (Planning to rope drop Test track before Akershus and Soarin before Garden Grill)

I doubt it will take this long, but I would give a good hour to hour and a half for "just in cases." Perhaps you sleep late. Perhaps TT is down at rope drop. Perhaps you wait longer for a bus than you planned.

If you're done in less than an hour, then just knock off some other must-dos before your breakfast.

Since Test Track has single rider lane I would not rope drop it.

Why not rope drop Frozen then do Akershus.
Soarin always a good idea for rope drop.

This is my ballpark answer. Have done RD for either many times. My best guess due to loading time and unloading time would be that you should be walking out of each ride between 920 and 940 depending on if you are in the first 50-75 people in, or if you are in the second group of the morning. For each group after the first one, add about 10-12 minutes per cycle.
It is critical you be at the head of the pack and walk briskly.............otherwise you will be in line for an extra 20 or more minutes.

We want to do Test track rather than frozen at rope drop in the hopes of getting a FP for Frozen...if we can't, then might consider that instead. With test track, I hear that you don't get to design your own car in the single rider line though (and this will be our first time on the ride, so we want to try it out)

I’ve heard here that you should RD test track as Soarin’ doesn’t back up as quickly.

What I usually do is RD Soarin, get out about 915 or so.............briskly walk over to TT..........get in the single rider line.............and since I don't have to go through the design room (and its pretty early in the operational day), I am usually able to ride it within 3-4 minutes of walking in the building. Therefore, by about 930am I have done both.

Of course............ if any of these attractions are having "technical difficulties", all bets are off!

I actually liked designing the car at test track and wouldn’t want to wait in the single rider line. DH, however, didn’t like TT at all.

Well I just made my reservations at 180+ days...and for some reason I couldn't get a breakfast time for Garden Grill any later than 9:35 am at 182 days out....what are the odds of being able to still rope drop Soarin and make it to breakfast on time??

You can do it but I would recommend arriving at Epcot no later than 60 mins before park opening, possibly 75 to be cautious.
