Rope dropping DCA

We will be at DL this weekend and staying at VGC. If we want to rope drop DCA, what time should we be at the hotel entrance to the park? OR should we be using the main entrance?

We rope dropped DCA last week and arrived a few minutes before 8:00. We went in through the main gate. I bet the hotel entrance is even better. It was wonderful! We got so much done. The whole morning was very low key and didn't feel crowded until around 10:30.
