Rope Drop?

What time do they let folks enter MK in order to be on line for the rope drop?

15 minutes prior at Epcot and MGM during our trip.

AK and MK didn't open earlier during the times we went there.

I didn't know that MGM and Epcot opened earlier for rope drop. You learn something new every day here!

MK opens the turnstiles at 8:45 and brings everyone in front of the train station for the character morning show. The show ends about 8:55 and then they let you into the park itself from there you will be able to get to each lands "Rope Drop" where they will wait for the morning speil and the cast members will walk you to your first destination.

On Early mornings, the areas that are not open for early morning will do their "rope drop" at about 8:50.

I have been on Main St having breakfast in the bakery around 8:30am on a non EE day.

How did you get on main street so early? Everytime I go to MK the turnstiles open at 8:30 and the train with characters comes about 8:50 and then they let you into Town Square just about 8:56 Maybe a minute or two sooner but not by much.
I have done this three times within the last year.
