Rope drop

I'm really loving these boards bc I haven't been to Disney in ages! I plan on doing rope drop. We will be there July 4th week. Is it a good strategy to pick a land each day? We are going to MK 3 days. I'm not super concerned about the AK or DHS days. What can we accomplish at rope drop? Should we start FP at 10 or is that too early. I plan on getting out of park at 1 each day
Also do you think I should do the fast passes at midnight 60 days out. I'm not going for Anna and Elsa I don't think

1- I'd be at the MK gates by at least 45 min. before the scheduled open time.

2- That's a valid approach.

3- Depends on the land and the rides you choose first. You'll be there
with the lowest crowds of the day during the first 1-2 hours.

4- That's fine.

5- Nobody can predict exactly how you'll tour, which rides may have problems, etc. etc.

6- The new Mine Train FP+ will go fast.

Thank you! I keep tweaking my plan but I think t have a good sense I what to do

10:00 is not too early at all but some fp+ won't start until 9:30 or 10:00 anyway on MDE app. Although you are not concerned about DS you should think about if you want to try Toy Story. My wife and I did even though we are in our 50s. If you do I would not use my fast pass on that but would rush to Toy Story at rope drop instead of ToT or RRC. We did toy story first before all little kids started getting there. Waited maybe 10 minutes even at rope drop. Within an hour wait time was already 80+. We then used our fast pass+ for thrill rides and even walked on both again and ate at primetime all before 11:30. Enjoy
