Our trip is end of March and as of today, no FP's available for TSMM or SDD. No interest in any of the Star Wars rides. At rope drop, does anyone know average wait times for each ride now that Star Wars land is open? We will be at Epcot later in the day and already have FP's there. Hoping ppl aren't heading straight to Toy Story Land while they are waiting on the Star Wars rides.

You may want to check again. According to The Dibb FastPass Availability from March 20-March 31, Toy Story Mania has FP+ available. Slinky Dog is gone.

I believe there are some TSMM for later in the afternoon/evening still available at the end of March — but I see in your post that you’re planning to hit Epcot later in the day, so that may not be a fit. If your only window is the morning and early afternoon, keep checking to see if anything opens up before then. Best case, you’re able to snag a FP for one of them and can rope drop the other. As far as rope drop at DHS — all reports as of late are that it’s crazy busy due to the number of people in the park trying to get boarding passes for RoTR. Lines are building fast for all of the main headliners. It sounds like based on reports that the line for SDD gets long very quickly so if you want that you need to be at the park well in advance of opening to be at the front of the pack. I would think chances would be slightly better for TSMM. Good luck!

Be watching for hours changes carefully. That may be your best chance to snag a FP+ for either of them first thing in the morning. Obviously that would effect your EPCOT fastpasses which you may not want to change.

Based on what everyone is saying RD at HS is so crazy you may only be able to do the first one, then have an exorbitant wait for the second. If you are really focused on those two rides only it may be a long wait in the morning, if that doesn't sound fun you may be better to RD somewhere else with more options.

Ugh I wasn't thinking when I booked the FP's at Epcot. I should have done HS. I'm just afraid it will be insanely crowded and we should maybe just skip it.

Once the tiers change things will get easier. When we went the last 3 times during the RotR madness, TSM was a walk on for the first 10 Minutes or so. Slinky is starting to Pre-Qeue to get the crowds out of the walkways but it will build as fast as FoP does.
Now whats good for you is MMRR will be open and will help disperse the crowds even more and the new tiers are in place.
But since you have the afternoon with Epcot Fps already made, Id ask, what FPs do you have and what are your must do at Epcot? You can use the morning tier break, drop, refresh method and pretty much do whatever at either park, especially once MMRR is up and running and new tiers will be in place at Studios.

Wow, this is confusing! So it looks like the tiers are changing tomorrow, but if ppl already have the 2 FP's in Tier 1, they can keep them so I don't think anyone will get rid of them now. We are still a little less than 6 weeks out and no morning FP's for TSMM or SDD. I feel bad for those not staying on Disney property with the 60 day FP's. I'm wondering if they add more at the 30 day mark. The main ride we want to go on is TSMM, and then maybe walk through Star Wars land if that's even possible with the crowds I don't know! At Epcot I have Frozen, which I have never been on and is a hard FP to get. We also have a FP for Spaceship Earth but could get rid of both Epcot FP's. We are going to wait in line for Soarin, if it's not too long, and try to do Test Track single rider.

We dont use 60 day Fps ever. Trust me dont feel sorry for resident AP holders who just decide to go to the park last minute. We generally understand the system, what to grab, when, how, tier breaking, drops, burners, etc. Actually the new tiers at Studios make it easier for us since we dont have to wait for the shows to open to do burners.
I understand why people who have ressies on property sit on those 60 day time frames, but, we rarely have FPs until we are pulling into the parking lot.

Ok, so how do you get last minute FP's? I was there in June and tried to get some, to no avail. I only need 2 so that should help!

Group of 2. Oh my. Even easier. We are a couple and we do this all the time. Day of, Pull a fp for something you want as early as possible. Pull 2 more and stack them even if one is a burner to break tiers. Begin the refresh process just hit the time over and over. If modifying it will give you better times. We pull and modify consistently. As soon as you scan into your first fp while in the GPS line modify the next 2. Rinse repeat till you've used all 3. Now tiers are broken and you can pull modify use, pull modify use, as much as you like. It takes patience but we rarely take more than 8-10 refreshes for the hard to find things and much less for others. Also educate yourself on drops at each park. That tidbit of info will put you way ahead of the crowds even further.

i would say long to quite long. feb 1-9 trip. never rope dropped tsm but did rope drop sdd twice. we left hotel via lyft 1 hour and 45 minutes before park open both days of sdd rd. we were able to be near the front of the pack for sdd both times (maybe 2nd or 3rd train) so no wait there. By the time we were off of sdd i think tsm was around a 40+ minute wait both days. as2 was doable right after sdd but by the time we were off of as2 it was also 40+ minute wait. Then we were looking at 1-2 hour waits on pretty much everything except star tours (muppet 3d was closed at the time). HS does get better in the evenings. If you are not doing rotr bg I wouldnt go there early in the day. wait until all of the people that were up at 4 or 5 in the morning get tired and leave.

So you say you have afternoon FP at Epcot, if so you can’t get FP at HS in the AM. It will only let you have 1 park. If you started at HS and used FP there and then went to Epcot you could then get Epcot FP but not the other way. It would be nice if you could split them but you cannot.

So RD SDD if you can.

If I can find FP's at HS, then I will drop my Epcot FP's. I have had NO luck getting FP's day of even with refreshing tons of times. I will keep trying to get SDD and TSMM in the am, then try to get Frozen after I use those. Do you have to use 3 at the same park in order to start getting them at your 2nd park?

your first 3 have to be at the same park. Most people FP at their second park because lines are usually shorter in the early morning than in the afternoon.
