Ok, we aren't normally rope drop family, but want to be for this trip. I don't actually know how it works and I haven't been able to find anything to answer a few questions I have.

When you approach the park, is security set up early to check bags and then you wait past that point for the official "rope drop?" The concern is will we be able to access the bathrooms with my potty training 2 year old if we are there 30 minutes early?

Can someone please break it down for me?

Well, I haven't been to the parks since the new welcome show at MK so I can't speak from experience. But since the new welcome show is at the castle, you should then be able to access the bathrooms inside the park there.

I believe there are bathrooms at all of the parks that you can access while waiting for Rope Drop. That said, when I went with a potty training kiddo, he wore pullups for the trip. We still tried to go to the bathrooms and make use of them (many days his pullup was dry all day), but it gave all of us some peace of mind knowing that if we didn't get to a bathroom in the alloted 30 seconds, that there was backup.

I totally hear you and we may resort to that BUT she has a bad habit of just using the Pull Up if she has one on. Hopefully if I continue to keep her out of them she won't notice if we use them for the trip in 2 weeks, but it may just be preferable to deal with accidents than have her regress. Quick clothes change and all good. We will have easy laundry access at Bonnet Creek so I'm not sure yet.

There are bathrooms past the security checkpoint at all the parks. Pretty sure I've used them all. :)

one trick that worked with our girls was to put underwear, next to skin, then pullup on top of underwear

YES! This is what we did. Took her to the potty before getting on the plane, but she had her princess panties underneath her pull up. It buys you time and less mess. Same for lines and other places a restroom may not be easily accessible at a moments notice. Just kept some snack sized ziplock with clean undies and a couple of pull ups in my bag.

Another option if pullups don't work for your DD is cloth training pants. (We bought them at target). They work for small accidents, which happened often when my son had to hold it while we found a public potty. Definitely also pack spare pants and undies in your daybag.
