How is the rope drop for Peter Pan in Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom vs 7DMT? I'm planning on buying a ILL for 7DMT and thought Peter Pan would be a less stressful experience, especially if the family isn't there super early. I understand I might not be walking on and am OK waiting a little bit (but still less wait time than later in the day) I'd rather my Tier 1 MPLL be for Tiana, assuming I am there when the virtual queue is gone. Thanks!

We often rope drop PP in order to avoid the very long line later in the day. It works for us! :tinker:

I think you’ll be fine if you’re there before the park opens to other guests but the earlier you arrive the better. The line will fill quickly.

At rope drop, the line seem to split between Tron, 7DMt and PP. If you are there at least 30 minutes before EE, you shoudl be OK with whatever you choose. Our last trip, we did tron. As we waited in line we were told it would no open until 9 am. We waited and were on the ride by 9:05. Worth the wait.

We've been at MK for ETPE, and on one trip by the time we got to PPF the line was already 40 minutes long. At other times, only 20 minutes. It all depends on (a) how close to the front of the ETPE line you are and/or (b) how fast you can walk/run to PPF.

We'll be trying it again in 2 weeks, since we'll book our Tier 1 LLMP for TBA, assuming it's available.

I'll be curious how that goes!

If you’re interested in an alternate strategy, we’ve found the shortest waits of the day for Peter Pan to be right after the fireworks show.

On a recent visit, the posted wait was 40 minutes but there were only about 10 guests in line. Actual wait was less than a minute.

Good to know! We have small kids, so I don't know how much later they'll make it past the fireworks.

We almost always arrive a little more than 30 minutes before early entry. There will be a line on the bridge heading into Fantasy Land, but it's not bad. Most people are in a good mood and the time passes quickly. You will get on PP quickly.

I agree with all of this except for the "get on PP quickly" part, because unless you're near the front of the line and walking rapidly, the line can be really long by the time you get to PPF. We've been disappointed by this more than once.

It might be of some help now that TBA is a Tier 1 choice.

I wonder also now that Tron is no longer a virtual queue, people will start lining up there even though it isn't part of early entry and will pull some of that Fantasyland crowd.

PP line moves quickly, regardless of how long it is, so long as its before park official opening time. That is when the line drags as your adding LL to the mix and then its rough.

so in essence rope drop really hasn't change except that more people now peel off to TRON - TRON isn't open for early entrance (opens at normal park hours) - so main attractions at rope drop are still 7DMT, Jungle Cruise, and now TRON.

So if you are rope dropping early arrival - get your lighting lanes passes (if you are buying them) -- hit rope drop and if you want to hit those above move quickly -- if not - pick an area and hit the other rides (pirates, haunted, railroad or the other area, buzz etc) -- is that basically it in a nut shell for MK?
