Rope Drop or Early ADR for H&V?

We are heading to WDW for the FIRST time this May and after seeing the crazy crowds at rope drop for DHS are we better off getting an early ADR for Hollywood & Vine and getting out of there at 8:50 for FP for TSM? We are going on a F! day to see F! so it is predicted to be pretty busy. We are on DxDP so I'm not worried about value, etc.

If TSM fast passes are priority go ahead and book the early brekkie then have your husband exit the restaurant a few minutes before rope drop with all tickets in hand. He can run and get the FP for all of you and you can stay with the kiddos if the characters haven't made it all around and you can settle the bill. He can either meet you at the restaurant or you can plan a meeting spot.

they'd have to hand us multiple fp for the day to make me even consider going back to H&V.

if you're there at RD you'll get fp for TSM - not sure what your return time will be, but you're not going to get shut out of fp if you go right to it.

UGH, its really that bad? We went round and round with character meals and chose tusker house and H&V just for characters figuring how bad could eggs be. Now I am not happy to see this and I read a few others that really hated it. Not sure what to do. We have am EMH to get TSM FP and ride stand by with 9:50 ADR at H&V

We do all of the early character meals before RD and it's a great way to get the FPs you want and to ride the rides without huge lines. I wouldn't do it any other way. The eggs aren't great like others have said but everything else is pretty good.
