Rope drop Kilimanjaro Sarfaris??

I wasn't able to get the FP times that I had hoped to. Our Safari FP is 2:20-3:20. I am wondering if we were to rope drop Safari instead of using this FP, how long of a wait time we can expect around 9:30 (for a 9am park opening) as we have another FP at 10:30 that google maps shows is a 10 min walk away, or should we change the 10:30 to later? Also, has anyone ever rope dropped Navi River and made it to Safari by 9:30?

I'd try to get to Safari closer to 9:10-9:15.
Then, you should be just fine.

I think you are fine doing both. Your next fast pass is good from 10:30 to 11;30 and has a 15 minute grace period.

You will definitely be able to ride Safari and make it for your fast pass window. If you're doing rope drop you will be on safari before 9:30. We always do safari first thing and them go to Everest. Safari is no wait and Everest is 5-10 at most.

My favorite time to do Safari is first thing in the morning. Its usually a little cooler weather and for whatever reason I've always had better luck seeing more animals at that time rather than afternoon/evening. Last two times in DAK the lines were really short early on because everyone else was making a mad dash for Pandora.

The only thing I will mention is that they usually let people in early for Pandora and the Safari doesn't start right away. We went to Pandora first to do Navi River Journey and by the time we were done there was a pretty big line of people at the Safari waiting for them to let people in.

ETA-I might actually be remembering this wrong. I think we went to Navi, then Everest, and back to the Safari section for our breakfast adr and that’s when I saw the long line at the Safari.

You didn't say what time of the year you are visiting AK but I would guess the posted Safari wait time at 9:30a (for a 9am open) would be around 30-40 minutes. I think Pandora is still pulling in most of the rope drop crowd. That should give you plenty of time to get to your 10:30-11:30a FP.

Also, has anyone ever rope dropped Navi River and made it to Safari by 9:30?

Last August I rope dropped FOP, then rode Navi River, and was at the Safari by 9:30a.
