Hi- How challenging is it to rope drop Guardians with resort early entry? Our last two trips I’ve paid to ride, but wondering if it’s possible to get through with rope drop. Thanks!

When are you going? Christmas week maybe a challenge. But outside of that with resort early entry you'll be fine.

Are you staying on-site and can you get there early enough to be toward the front of the crowd?

Depends what you mean by "challenging." Anyone can do it, so in some sense it's not challenging at all. But how long you will have to wait depends on how early you arrive and how busy the park is that day.

I could be wrong but I would guess that on a moderate crowd level day, if you arrive at the gates 45 minutes before the resort early entry starts, then your wait should be 30 minutes or less.

If instead you show up at the gates right when resort early entry starts, and it's a very busy day, you might have to wait an hour or more (but still will probably be waiting a lot less than if you try to ride at any other time).

Doable if you get the first resort bus or drive and arrive at least 30 minutes before EE. That assumes you're staying at a Disney resort.

We also get in line 5 minutes before EPCOT closes. You miss the fireworks but it's short wait no matter what the wait time says. Don't try this when EPOCOT has late hours for a party or resort guests.

As others have said it sometimes depend on the time of year you are there but here is my experience from October 25th of this year - I was staying at Saratoga Springs for reference.

7:40am on the bus
8:10am through EE and in line for Guardians
8:50am off Guardians and back in line
9:25am off Guardians for 2nd ride

I’m sorta considering this strategy for our July trip. Showing up at 8:30, to Guardians around 8:40 and waiting. I figure waiting 30 minutes right then is shorter than waiting for EE to start and riding in say 10 minutes once it opens. But it feels risky and could go really wrong, lol!

We did this yesterday! It was our third day of hitting the parks hard (but so fun).
and we actually got out the door about thirty minutes later than we wanted. We were tired! We went straight to Guardians, got in line just as they started letting people in, and only waited about 30 minutes.
