juat wondering if the rope drop ceremonies are worth trying to get there for? If so, what time do you have to get there to get a good spot? Are there rope drop ceremonies before the Am EMH???

I hate the rope drop ceremonies. Just a waste of time to me.

I don't remember seeing them at EMH in the AM.

The best part of the rope drop is watching "adults" cram and push their way to the front so they can get to an attraction 30 seconds before someone else.:confused3

I would compare the rope drop ceremonies to the opening of the doors at Walmart, Traget or Best buy on BLACK FRIDAY. Stand back and watch the crazies go at it.

If you have never done it, Black Friday is a blast as long as you are not one of the ones racing around like a lunatic for something. We go everyyear, stop for a Coffee/Soda and donut on the way and walk around and watch the frenzy!!!

I really enjoy the opening ceremony at MK. Like the one at AK. The Epcot one isn't that eventfull. And I have never been to the one at DS.

Of course I am standing back enjoying it and not putting myself in the middle of the herd. I enjoy the show then I walk calmly to my first ride.

Like the others - it is fun to watch the other people run, push, and shove to get to the 'it' ride. Then you show up a couple of minutes later and walk right on.

I agree!!! I love shopping on Black Friday, just to watch and well maybe pick something up

It isn't so much the "rope drop" that's fun, but each resort has a little opening ceremony that is cute. It changes, but the one at AK involves a safari vehicle with characters, and the one at MK uses the train station platform. The Epcot one involves a character bus. It has been years since we went to the studios rope drop, and I believe we only did it once. Not much to reprot there except hordes of people all trying to go on RnR and TOT at the same time. it's quite a cattle call, if you know what I mean.

I love the opening ceremony at MK - I still can't watch it without getting teary-eyed. It's just not the same if I miss the Good Morning song and confetti.

The other ceremonies are not that exciting.

I agree, the MK ceremony is fantastic. Once we did it, we could not believe we had waited so long to do it. Im not talking rushing into the park, but the ceremony itself on top of the RR platform

If you dont enjoy and appreciate that, I am not sure what you are even doing at MK
