I hope that is right but I registered three different players the same way and only one is registered and this is the answer they gave me. I hope it is wrong, and if so I apologize for upsetting anybody. I just posted the reply I received from VMK.

well I guess we just have to wait and see. fairyprincessjaz will be so disappointed if she does not get judged. I rechecked the email and my name (fairypower) was the only one that got a second email confirmation. Sigh... I wish I had known I only have 10 email addresses!

I sure hope so but I am worried my daughter won't be judged because she didn't get the confirmation letter. I guess it's a wait and see.

Let me know if any of your kids end up getting judged.

OK I received a visit by Host Hula in VMK so I apparently started a panic.

She says others have successfully registered their kids so everyone else is probably ok. She is looking into my problem.

I am sorry to have posted and for any upset it has caused.

Thanks Host Hula for coming to me so I can set the record straight. I only posted the reply I received from VMK regarding why only one of my family is registered.

Just a thought: Perhaps VMK tried to "simplify" their notification process by only sending one confirmation per email address or household. (Some explanation of that in the message itself would have been nice!)

I'm expecting that all additional family members who registered correctly will get to be judged.

I would like to think that is what they were doing. I sure hope we get some answer about this because I know that those of us here can't be the only ones with kids using the same email.

That could be.

When I first wrote questioning the reminder e-mail, I received a reply from VMK saying:

"You registered with only KeepSwimmingDory. We have no record in receiving registration under the other two names. "

So I wrote again asking how they aren't registered because I registered all three of us in a row and received 3 confirmation e-mails. That is when I got the reply saying:

"To register for the event, you must have registered one character per email."

So I really don't know but I think I should have just kept it to myself. I just thought if it is one per e-mail many would want to prepare their kids for it and not wait for two weeks hoping to be judged. Maybe Shorty meant one character per contact us could be registered not per e-mail because Hula did ask if I registered them all together.

Don't beat yourself up about it dory. Perhaps you created a little panic but as usual the root problem was a clearity issue. Based on the information you had you posted what you thought you were being told. You aren't the first and won't be the last. Aside from the panic I guess it will bring quicker resolution. I would have been disappointed to see people shut out by that. I can tell you I have seen sparkles room and it is very nice and cantell a lot of time and thought was put into it.

If something can be learned from this (from several events behind us many have already learned) If you think there is an issue use contact us to ask VMK immediately and if you wish to inform people here, phrase it in the form of a question and give us the details (tends to cause slightly less panic) Most important when it comes to these events don't get expectations to high or take them to seriously. If there is disappointment it doesn't hurt as much. The first competition events I would not allow my daughter to participate, I now do, but always make sure to let her know stuff can happen and not to get to upset.

I truly hope that this was just a clarity issue.
I hate to think of all the kids out there that were registered under the same email as another family member being left out.

Anyone who knows of two or more members being registered on one account, Please let us know if both (or more) entries get judged.
If by the end of the competition, some of these kids are left out, then I would love to be able to gift them something.
Plus, make sure we know about them in the participant thread so we can all go and visit them.

I have to agree that this is unfair. I guess VMK assumes that people could have multiple "mules" under the same e-mail address and they don't want the same person entering multiple times. VMK is supposed to be a kids' game, and Disney is supposed to be family oriented. They're not living up to either of these by my reckoning. Anywho, consider yourself lucky you made it into the VMK competition at all - no one in my family got to enter.

well i guess we are in the same boat as some of you. bugchris and i have the same email since he is a kid and most kids dont have their own email. i heard they were judging in abc order, and my aunt cosmicminidolphin already had her room judged so i guess bug is not in the competition even though i did get confirmation emails sent.well guess i'll wait till the last judging day and if he is still not judged i will have to break the news to him then. this will just suck because his sister, (sissybee) is registered under my sisters email and my sister did not enter herself only sissybee so she will have a flag and bug wont. ug!!

Not true.

My VMK title is "Jegrezo." I was judged on the very first day. Friends earlier in the alphabet (and later) were judged on later days or are still waiting.

Let us know if your son doesn't get judged. I am sure there are lots of nice people on Dis (me included) who would love to give him some "prizes" for his effort. (Disclaimer: Not the same prizes as VMK hands out probably)
