When my three kids started to get a bit older (and hubby and I are early risers), I tried to book either a suite or a room with a balcony. (We went to places like Hershey, Lancaster, Williamsburg, etc.) We stayed at Dixie Landings twice many years ago - at the time they allowed five. When that was not good for us anymore, we booked off-site before our DVC at the Embassy Suites. We bought DVC during this trip.
We have booked and my son has booked (also a dvc member) a studio with my granddaughter. He placed the playpen in a corner and had it almost all covered (for light) and they brought a sound machine. Studios have the balcony. They come in handy for sitting out there in the morning or evening while the kids are asleep. My granddaughter's bedtime at home normally is at 8:30 pm - they bumped it up to 9pm. They always went back to the room for her afternoon nap too. (She is 2 1/2 and has been there 4 times I believe). The last trip though - they booked a 1 BDR. No going back now and they are now having twins - 1BDR is a must.
I would try renting points for a studio (would you consider putting her down at 8pm for the trip).
Staying off-site is an option too but you can't beat the convenience of staying on-site especially with a little one.
Good luck - let us know how you make out!
