Rooms Request for AKL Concierge

Hey all . . . we're staying 2 nights @ AKL Concierge level and does anyone know if all views are great, or if we should request a specific view. I do know that they have us booked on the 5th floor (or is it 4th floor - the floor below the actual concierge lobby) as they said the views from the rooms are better there.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The views on the fifth floor (concierge savannah views) are gorgeous...or at least ours was! It was the best of the savannah views we've had. I loved it. Ahhhh, wish I was there

The concierge lobby is on the 6th floor. The views from the 5th floor rooms are better than the 6th. As long as you request 5th floor, Arusha you will have a great view. Arusha is the largest of the savannahs.

We had a room on the 5th floor, near the elevator going down to the pool and Mara. It was a great location. It is on the Arusha Savannah, Zebra trail.

Are all the rooms on the 5th floor concierge rooms? If not, are the 5th floor concierge rooms just below the lounge or is there still a long walk to the lounge.

We are a little concerned that some concierge rooms are pool view. We definitely do not want to spend all that money to look at the pool.

Where are the 6th floor concierge rooms? I don't see them listed on the map. I"d think going from the 5th floor to the 6th floor concierge would be a pain.

CoolDisneyCat - thanks for the room information. I do know we are staying on the 5th floor as reservations said the views on the 5th floor were better than the 6th. I will have to call them back and refine my room request for your view - sounds awesome. Tnx!

Where are the 6th floor concierge rooms? I don't see them listed on the map. I"d think going from the 5th floor to the 6th floor concierge would be a pain.

When you look on the map, look for the rooms in the middle of the resort... not out on the wings. Look where you see the word "lobby" and you will see them. There are blue boxes on the map. There are 6th floor rooms marked there.

I haven't stayed on the 6th floor, but I have read the views are not good because of the way the roof overhangs. A couple on our Sunset safari told us their 6th floor room was like that.

We are staying 6th floor w/ a savannah view. I don't personally care how "good" the view is. My DW does, but then again, she's the animal lover & veterinarian of the family.

But I DO want to stay on the same floor as the lounge, and my kids are DYING to stay "Inside the locked gate" as they put it.

Will report back on the view when we get back...................................
