Rooms at AKL when the village opens

I was just wondering what happens to the rooms that were converted to DVC at AKL when the new village opens. Will they be offered as preferred? Just curious...

Nothing should change. Jambo House will still be the only building with value and concierge level units. We technically own at both buildings. Our initial contract was for unit 45 in Jambo House and our add-on contract was for unit 71 at Kidani.

Regardless of when you bought in you would still be an owner of the overall AKV resort and can book at either building. The point charts would apply to both buildings but as mentioned only Jambo House (the converted 5th & 6th floor rooms at AKL) would have the value and concierge categories.

As these unique AKV booking categories are part of the attraction of AKV and there are many owners in the existing Jambo House building I can't see them doing away with those units without some major legal wrangling and huge buy-back program.

Not clear on question. DVC rooms at existing AKL (Jambo building) are on the top 5th floor (Concierge on 6th which floor exists only around the lobby), and will remain exactly as they are when Kidani is done -- still part of DVC with savanna, standard, and value point cost rooms, plus several Grand Villas. When reserving you will choose whether you want Kidani or Jambo.
