Hi!
I have been thinking about getting a Roomba for our home. I was wondering if anyone had one and if they like them; worth the money, etc.

Right now, DH and I are looking at the circulars for after Christmas sales. Has anyone seen them on sale for a good price? Any info on price, model or performance is appreciated!
Thank you!

My MIL loves hers. In fact we bought her a 2nd one for her upstairs this Christmas.

The best deal I found was on www.woot.com. If you are not familiar with woot, they add a new product each day. They list the Roombas semi often. We bought hers (Discovery SD) for $150 + $5 shipping. It was not refurbished BTW. We bought it during a wootoff (when they list lots of products in a day).

We got one for Christmas also (my mom bought it at Linens and Things with a 20% off coupon + some free accessories). We will be exchanging ours tomorrow b/c when we opened it today, it was USED!!!:sad2:

 I have Roomba and Scooba and I love them both!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you PM me your email address I will forward you the offer they just sent me. I don't know how good it is in relation to the sales out there. Ask me anything. I always tell people you will never believe how great they work until you try it. Especially the Scooba!

If you buy a roomba you might want to consider purchasing it from hammacherschlemmer (sp?) . com. The reason is the roomba's aren't that reliable and tend to break. Hammacher has a lifetime guarentee on all their products. If it breaks, you can call hammacher up and then you send it back, they send you one that works.

We've had one for like about 1.25 years. We have had it replaced at least 2 times, maybe 3 times.
Check out http://www.roombareview.com/
You can see how often people post about roomba breaking.

When I have a problem with the roomba, or want cleaning tips they are great for helping w/ easy fix items. Other times when its doing the circle of death spin, you can try to clean certain sensors, but it doesn't last so time to call hammacher and get a new one.

Roomba is great for getting under beds and in closets. Check out the height of your end tables, couches to see if roomba is short enough to fit under items in your house.
Roomba doesn't like frindge on rugs, it get swept into the brush, and gets stuck.
Roomba's lots of fun.
I will say roomba doesn't suck up as much dirt as my dyson.
We got one of those this year.
If your just not someone who vacuums often. Roomba is a great help, because you lock him in a room, and he cleans while you do something else. He however doesn't however clean as well as the dyson.
