We're planning a trip to the VGC for the first time, would like to get a 1-bedroom villa. For those of you that have stayed there, what are our options with regard to views? When we stay at the Boardwalk, we like the Boardwalk view - like to keep our balcony doors open to hear the music and people. Thanks for any input!

we stayed on the 5th floor in a 2 bedroom, facing the pool area. We were above the newer large hottub. I was somewhat disappointed at not having a park view for the kids but it was nice to see the fireworks at night from our balcony. They also played music in the pool area early in the morning so it was relaxing to hear from the balconly also. Not a noise problem in the AM if the door was closed. Beautiful resort and so glad we bought our points there.

All of the views are good at this resort, we have stayed 4 times.

You will have a great time. It's similar to VWL, but more along the lines of the quality of the Grand Floridian.

We stayed in a 1BR this past July, 5508. Our room looked out right to the Golden Zephyr in Paradise Pier. It was by far the best room view we have ever had. We have had Boardwalk views, Downtown Disney from the DL Hotel, even right above SAB once and other pools views too. The DCA view was amazing. We could see WOC of Color just to the left (although it needs to be experienced head on) the noises, sounds and music added to all that Disney Magic. My kids didn't want to leave the room! LOL. I requested high floor, theme park view and that is what we got. Lots of pixie dust sprinkled on us! I would go ahead and request it and hope for the best. It honestly was one of the highlights of the trip. You will LOVE the Grand Californian and I got addonitis pretty bad after our return home.

Enjoy! :goodvibes

Over Labor Day weekend, we stayed in a studio (it ended in 04, but I don't remember the first two digits) and had an amazing view of the Mickey ferris wheel and World of Color, which we could watch from our room. It wasn't a dead center view (off to the right a little), but the best view ever!

I would also recommend the park view, it made DD4 so happy to wake up and see the park right outside the door! Have fun!

:thanks: Thank you all for your input, I booked a park view room and am greatly looking forward to the trip!

I don't think there are any bad views at VGC (like parking lot views). I think they are all pool or park views if I'm not mistaken.
We had a view of the swimming pool in May and it was nice and quiet. We were hoping for a park view, but when DCA started testing out WoC in the middle of night and my friend with that view was jolted out of bed by Arial, well, I'm glad we had pool view (especially with a 6-month-old).
