Trying to decide between Animal kingdom and Bay Lake but the book dosent have any decent photos anymore
anyone have a place that has better pics or even videos???

I don't have any good pictures to post, but our family agreed that BLT was MUCH better in person than in video/picture. We didn't think we were going to like the modern decor, but it totally works in person. It's our favorite resort in terms of interior decorating. We love all the DVC resorts for different reasons, but AKL is probably my least favorite for room decor - too dark for my taste.

We toured the BLT model. Yes the "retro-modern" decor is nice, but do you really like the idea of your kitchen being in your bathroom(studio unit)?:confused3

I think that saying your kitchen is in your bathroom is a bit of a s stretch. Yes, the bathroom sink is across from the kitchen sink....but I just don't think that's a huge deal.

Be sure to check out work2play's excellent thread on BLT Rooms and Views (see http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2257082). Its a very lengthy thread, but in the very first post are maps showing the location of the BLT rooms by type and view. Just below the maps is a long list of specific BLT rooms and links to posts showing photos of the room and/or the view.

If you want to see photos of the resorts, then check out dvcnews.com. On the first page is a pulldown menu labeled DVC Resorts. If you click on it, you'll be able to access photos for all the DVC resorts.

We own at both AKV and BLT and are glad we do. They are both wonderful resorts. Good luck in making your decision!!

If you go to youtube.com and search for "bay lake towers" and "animal kingdom villas" you'll find a ton of room tour videos.

Wait....let me pull my daughter's long hair out of my bagel and cream cheese and then I can answer...................................:)

JMHO....
If you don't have your own rental car/car, and want to do a lot of park days, then stay at BLTs. We love AKLV but the transportation using buses can be a real hassle as the buses come so few and in between and when they are full, you end up waiting a long time for another one. AKLV is far out from most of the parks except AK. Saying that, I have only traveled without a car twice (once at AKV & the second time ASMu) both with young kids so maybe that made the waits longer.. LOL.
BLT has the monorail and buses too... but you can also walk over to MK's Transportation area for bus usage there as they are more frequent than resort wait times.
We are staying at AKLV pre-cruise but are NOT going to any parks in May.
Enjoy!

I can share pics from our tour of BLT, but I haven't got any AKL photos. (Sorry!) We did end up buying in at BLT because we liked the convenience of walking to MK with future grandchildren. I'll just post the interior shots. I also have shots of the exterior, pool, etc. If you want me to post those, let me know.

Those are some of the best pictures I've seen of BLT. Thanks for sharing. :thumbsup2
Well, thank ya' kindly! You know what they say... with just a little encouragement... ;-)

So, I'll go ahead and post a few of the exterior shots too.

A cypress grove along the beachfront. The Electric Light Parade passes by here every night. You can view from your room or on the waterfront. Beautiful!
