IF same price, do you prefer a Room at the Boardwalk Inn or a Studio Villa.
2 adults and 2 children 11+12. I already have a preferred view room res and am curious if you would consider a standard Studio Villa an upgrade.
Thanks!

For me personally, I'd stay at BWI vs a Studio, especially with the ages of your children. The Studio only has one bed,a queen and a double size pull-out. Whereas a Inn room would have two queens and a day bed, so if the kids don't want to sleep together, they don't have to. Also, WDW recently put refrigerators in all the deluxe and moderates, so that takes away a little from the studios. The only difference is a microwave, and I can live without that. I also feel that the deluxe rooms have a slightly larger feel, since there isn't a lot of space taken up by the bathroom and kitchenette design in the studios.

no - it is - isn't my opinion.

go rent points from a DVC member to stay in the studios - don't pay WDW prices.

there are more views of Epcot from BWI than BWV.

I am trying! I can get a Studio through reservations..but DVC members show none available for my dates.
That is why I qualified my question with "at the same price". At the rate I am paying the room in the Inn is probably preferable.

okw and ssr are available

bwv has one night available - 26th -

you can make it at the OKW and go on the wait list.

OKW has 2 queen beds and bus transportation to all the parks.

OKW is less expensive.

Steve, I'm a little confused. I'm not sure you are using the correct terms for the room sizes. Just to check

An Inn room is basically the size of a standard hotel room

A studio DVC unit is basically the size of a hotel room. OKW has two "proper" beds, most of the other resorts are as Spicy cat describes.

a One bedroom villa has a master bedroom suite (with king bed and a jacuzzi), a living/dining room with pull out sofa bed and a full size kitchen.

The only reason I point this out is because you are talking about renting DVC points from a member and this coming out to about the same cost as an Inn room from Disney. If you were renting a studio it shouldn't be costing you more than about $140 a night (less for OKW) , whereas a "fair cost" for the one bedroom villa would be between $200-250 which I'm guessing is the price of a BW Inn room from Disney. Sorry if you're already aware of all this, but the two parts of what you are saying don't add up to me, so I'm assuming something is out of line and that seems to be the obvious place.

Thanks for checking..I was aware of OKW..but we are sticking to BW or BC.
I am corresponding with a few DVC members.

no he is renting both a studio and an inn room from CRO - not a member.

MS has no availability during his time. but CRO (WDW) does.

this happens because lots of cash rooms are because the DVC member traded out (not to II) to some other place and CRO rents the rooms to pay for it. There are also the 5% that DVD kepts for room rehab surposes and rents out when no rehab is planned.

at 60 days all the unused villa go to CRO - but these (and only these) can be used with DVC member points also.

Vernon,
I actually never explained any of it as I started this thread to find out if it would be worth it for me to change my Inn reservation to a Studio reservation because it is available through Disney. I am aware of the room sizes .
I have been trying to get a BWV Studio through DVC members and may possibly have a shot at a 1 bedroom. A BWV or BCV Studio from DVC would be my first choice because it would be cheapest option. But none are available yet, other than direct through Disney wich would cost as much as my existing inn res.

Thanks Spiceycat! You are a wealth of good information!
I also have a friend in DVC who is checking availability for me.
