room upgrades with APH rates?

If you book a room at the APH (we're booked at PBH in late June- 2 standard rooms), is there a chance of an upgrade and would that be something I ask about when I check in or if I call a few days ahead to request adjoining rooms in the west wing should I ask about it then? Does having a Loew's card give you any perks if you are using the APH rate (i.e. an upgrade) ?

Technically, you are not entitled to any Loews First benefits including the welcome gift, late check-out, and upgrades when you use a discounted rate other than AAA. If you were platinum I would say you might have a shot if you speak with someone in charge but prob not if you are blue. It can't hurt to ask though. The worst they can say is no.
