I am currently entitled to Platinum status with the You First program at Lowes. When making my room reservation at RPR I am only able to upgrade to a water view because a King suite only allows three people and we have five people in our family. BTW I was only booking a standard room.

Is a King suite the only upgrade available at RPR? or do I need to book a more expensive room to get a better upgrade?

If I swtich to PBH what kind of upgraded room could I get there?

We prefer the RPR but will consider switching hotels if the upgrade is worth it.

Thanks in advance for the help.:hippie:

You are only entitled to suite upgrade.
I just changed my last week from RPR to PB with the free suite upgrade, they must sleep upto 5 people, as they asked me if i wanted 2 doubles or a king

Thank you!

Do I have to book at bayview to get the suite upgrade or can I just book a standard room at the cheapest rate?

Book the cheapest,my rate for 21st July to 28th July was $172.35 + tax

Thank you!

Portofino suite entitle you to either a King or two queens. The parlor room has a sofa bed and second hude bathroom. The parlor also has a flat screen TV. Warning, the sofabed that I tried out was not comfortable. My nephew actually just slept on the sofa. You could ask for a rollaway. You will love the extra space!

:thumbsup2 Wow! Thanks for the detailed info. It sounds heavenly.

We are also a family of 5 and started staying at the Portofino once we reached Platinum for exactly the same reason. We love the Portofino now and even without the upgrade, it would be our choice hotel.

The suite you are entitled to is the Portofino suite. It is a regular room (not deluxe) with either a gardenview or bay view. There are 6 of them and they are all located in the West Wing.

There is a parlor between a king bedroom and a 2 queen bedroom. (You only get one of the bedrooms unless you pay for both:goodvibes )The parlor is the size of a room, but has the sofa bed and chairs/table/tv, etc. In the bedroom, you will have a standard bathroom with a tub/shower combo and a double sink. The bathrooms are huge! In the parlor, the bathroom has a large walk-in shower.

Here is the layout:
Portofino Suites
Our Portofino Suites are cozy and comfortable with plenty of space to relax after a day at the theme parks. These suites have a 450 square foot parlor which adjoins to a 450 square foot Garden View bedroom. A second adjoining Garden View room can also be reserved to create a two-bedroom suite.

Thanks Goofy for the help. The picture of the layout of the room makes it so much easier to picture in my mind.

You all have me convinced and I think for a little bit of extra money we will definitely be getting our money's worth with that room.

I hope my kids won't be disappointed. They so love the RPR pool area but now they will have three pools to choose from. My older DD loves the pool volleyball at the RPR so hopefully they will have something like that at the PBH.
