My best friend has been planning wdw for years with her two daughters but cannot afford it. She always hoped to rent points from us.

I'm thinking it would be fun to do four nights with myself and my three kids and her and her girls. My three are (4, 4, and ten). Her two are (12 and 6). I would absorb hotel costs.

What would be the best choice for villa/s with an eye on efficient point usage.

We are used to one bedrooms when we travel as a nuclear family ( with hubby).

Planning for end March 2015.

Two OKW studios.

I suggest you find one of the calculators and play with the options. If you aren't going to cook a lot in the room, studios may be the way to go. For a similar trip with my sister and her family, we got a 2 bedroom, but we were going cheap on food and spending time together in the room was a priority.

We shared an OKW 2 bedroom with another family. Probably more space than anywhere else. It worked out well for us.
We ate breakfast in and most lunches. Laundry was nice too!
2 studios does give you some nice separation for some alone time!

Enter your dates in Daddio's point calculator and you can see how many points each room will cost for that time. What you'll probably find is that 2 AKV value studios would be the least points - but those can be very difficult to get if you don't own at AKV. Next would be BWV standard view studios and OKW studios. Of those two OKW is the most likely for you to book but a lot depends on where you own at.

We own at animal kingdom. So you think a studio for each over a two br?

Cheapest options will be 2 studios at OKW, AKV value, BWV standard, AKV standard and SSR. Best value IMO would be a 2 BR same options. Only OKW will have 2 beds in the studio, OKW 2 BR and dedicated at AKV (basically Kidani) or SSR will have 2 beds in the second BR. All other units types will have a queen and pullout in the second BR, usually a love seat sized pullout.
