Has anyone ever stayed at a tower room at GF, trying to determine if it's worth the extra $$ over a standard garden view room. On the fairytale package, it comes to an extra $300 for 7 nights ($42 per night). Also, does anyone have any pictures? Also, the tower room is about the same $ as a lagoon view standard size. Any suggestions or advice. We are traveling with my wife and a 4 and 1 year old.

Thanks

There are a few of us that have stayed in a tower room. Someone has a link to some pictures here and the floor layout is on the GF FAQ.

There is some extra room in the tower room, and you have an extra tv and a couch and a coffee table. We chose the tower when we had a 15 month old for the extra room - the crib, high chair, extra playing room. And the extra room probably came in handy for the extra baby space we needed. But we probably won't go back to a tower room - just didn't seem worth the extra $50/night to us. If there would have been more of a separation between the regular room and the sitting room (making the areas more independent of private), that would be a different story.

By the way, all tower rooms are garden view - no lagoon view. And I think there are only 16-20 total.

Can someone post a link to the GF FAQ so I can see the pics of the tower room or show me how I can get to the link. Thanks

if you look at the first post on the resort board it has links to all the resort "faqs":smooth:

Nutsforgolf- something you might want to consider- the tower rooms in Sugarloaf concierge do not have an extra charge over and above the rate for concierge room. Check out the cost for lodge concierge for your dates and see if it's better value (I think our FT package is costing an extra $400 for the week for concierge). At least you're getting the concierge benefits for the extra money.

You can then request a lodge tower room on your reservation, but you're not guaranteed one. I know this might not be a feasible option for you, but thought I'd point it out.
