I looked up the room sizes and according to a few sites the 2 bedrooms at each of these resorts are about the same size. When I look at pics BLT doesnt look nearly as roomy as Kidani. We just got back last week and loved the size of the 2 bedrooms there and the 3rd bathroom. Can anyone verify if the BLT 2bedrooms are the same size?

According to Disney and what is shown in the Resource Center on this site (see sticky at top of any main DVD thread page on this site) Kidani 2BRs are about 1173, BLT about 1152. The difference is in the size of the second bedroom (or studio in the lock-off). BLT's studio/second bedroom are about 340 sq ft while AKV is about 360.

Nevertheless, unlike at Kidani, the 2BRs at BLT actually can vary in at least the sense of size. Those on the outer part of the C-shaped building, particularly in the center part of the building (TP and standard views in that area) because of the shape of the building have seemingly larger than normal living and bedroom rooms (that seem much larger than Kidani) particlualrly as you approach the living room windows and the main and second bedroom windows; while those near the center of the inner C seem smaller because the largest width of the room is near the doorway and the width near the windows is smaller.

The 1BR in the middle of the "C" at BLT is actually rectangular. I was worried my 1BR was going to feel claustrophobic because I thought it would get smaller toward the window, but it did not.
(Another advantage of the "inner" rooms at BLT...you get an actual laundry room, with a fairly soundproof door!)

The separate laundry room is about the only advantage. You also get all the noise from the pool all day long.

I just did a split stay 1BR TPV BLT & 1BR Kidani. The living room at BLT felt much bigger. At Kidani there was very little room to walk around when both couch & chair was open and it harder to find a place for the coffee table where it was out of the way.

We have stayed in a two bedroom at both AKV and BLT. The rooms at AKV are darker colors and woods, so they may seem smaller. The rooms at BLT are brighter. I would guess that they were actually very close to the same size.
We actually preferred the room at AKV over the room at BLT (even with a MK view-although that was really pretty sweet). We just liked the theme better at AKV. The bus rides and distances to parks and food court were it's downsides. BLT had the monorail which was a great plus for it. But in the end, points are lower at AKV and I'd rather save my points for another trip. (We even own at BLT)
