Room size comparison

Hello I am torn between the RPH and PBH, it is about 55.00 a night more for the PBH, but I see the room is about 115 square feet bigger, we are a family of four the kids are 15 and 16, is the extra space noticeable, we probably will only be in the rooms for sleeping, as we are only there two nights and have to make full use of our time, which resort is closest to the parks, we are especially interested in of course Harry Potter, I am sure both are lovely hotels

We have stayed at RPR. I wouldn't pay $55 more for PBH. Especially if you are only there for 2 nights. Save the money and spend it on a nice dinner or fun things!!! Have a blast.

We have stayed at both, and they are both great. RPR is closer to the parks (especially IOA), but PBH is a nice walk or boat ride away.

The rooms at PBH are noticeably bigger, and the bathrooms are huge! If you plan to use the bathroom as a changing area for privacy, the extra space is very nice, and the bathrooms are just more luxurious at PBH.

We are also a family of four and were able to fit a queen-sized air mattress at PBH (the kids don't like to sleep together) - there is a lot of space.

We originally booked RPR for this month, but we changed to PBH when the AP rates came out. It is DH's favorite resort in Orlando, but he would have also been happy at RPR.

Thanks for the opinions, I am looking into the AP cost for one person and if I would save on the room, is the washroom at PBH one big room or can my daughter get changed and someone else can be using the facilities, with an AP do you still pay for parking at the hotel?

I can only answer your first question as I just looked into this myself. The cost including tax to purchase one preferred annual pass for myself was $247. Don't forget that you also get a 15% discount at the gate when you purchase multiday park tickets for your family members. That"s another savings for you besides the room discount. Also, I believe you will get a 10% discount in restaurants and shops. I didn't look into parking since I won't have a car with us.

The bathroom is one big room.

You still pay for parking at the hotel if you have an AP.

We stayed three nights last year and the AP savings on the room paid for the AP (two nights would have covered the price difference between the ticket we had and the AP). Since we are going back this year and got the AP rate again and also didn't have to buy a ticket for me, it has been very worth it for us!

As the PP said, you get discounts on family tickets, food and merchandise with an AP as well as (maybe) a room discount. You can book the room with the APH code and show your AP during your stay - it doesn't have to be at check-in, so you can book the room, run the numbers, then buy the AP when you get there.

if you want space and a large bathroom, go with PBH.

you stated that you will not be in your rooms except to sleep.......
if that is the case, go with RPH.
with less room cost, spend that on souvies or food..

thanks for your help I think I am going to go with RPH, I figure that 110.00 not spent on the room can go to food and stuff the kids will want and I think RPH is closest for walking to the parks, it is only 2 nights so we will be fine, thanks to all, we are getting very excited

I prefer PBH but only when it's a little closer in price to RPR. I think for $55 a night I might go with RPR.

They're both wonderful hotels... but PBH is like the next level up, it's quite a bit nicer and the bathrooms are the size of NYC apartments.

But you can't really go wrong with RPR.
