I am an intimate having dinner at CG Sonoma Room after our wedding. We aren't planning to do anything fancy in the room, but I do want to put placecards, menus, and favors at our guests seats. Has anyone done this in the past? Since we only have 20, maybe 30 guests, it doesn't seem like a huge undertaking.

I have been told by my WP that CG will not do it. I have been told by Rosie that floral will not do it. My WP told me to have one of my guests do it. I won't do that. These people are paying and traveling to celebrate with us, not to be put to work. If I can have access in the morning, I have no problem setting the room up myself but I can't ask our guests. :sad2:

What about one of your family members? They would probably love the opportunity to help you! If you could delegate this to one of them, it would leave you one less thing to take care of/worry about the morning of your big day. GL!

I know it seems weird to ask people to travel and spend all this money to come to your wedding and then ask them to help. However, I found that people were jumping at the chance to help me! It's humbling to realize that the people who love you also love the chance to help make your special day perfect! One of my friends almost cried when I asked him to be the one in charge of setting up my topiaries and favors at the ceremony. He might be a little bit of a drama queen but he was really really excited I asked him to do something!

Oh and if that doesn't work out just let me know... I like any excuse to come to WDW and I'm not that far!!!:cheer2:

Haha, thanks! We are heading down to WDW tomorrow... I am secretly hoping to catch a ceremony at SBP. And of course "test" some cake at Boardwalk Bakery while we're there.

I think people would certainly want to help out. My friend coming in from NY volunteered to do the setup if necessary. So that's taken care of. It is nice to know that people want to make things special for you! I am so used to planning every aspect of all our Disney trips that I'm missing the big picture here. This isn't just another family Disney trip... it's our wedding! Our goal is to have a fantastic, unforgettable day and not focus on the small issues.
